Steve Shatkin

Deputy Chief of Operations

 

Steve was involved in law enforcement for more than 30 years, beginning as a municipal Police Reserve Officer and transitioning to a Humane Police officer for the NJ State SPCA. After rising to the rank of Deputy Chief of Law enforcement and Chief of Department, he oversaw the Major Crimes Squad, Warrant Squad as well as coordinated training and technology for the department. He is certified as a police academy instructor since 2005.

 

Since retiring from law enforcement, he has honed his crafts by becoming certified as a SORA Level II armed officer and continued consulting in the security field.

 

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from City University and a Masters Degree from The New School for Social Research. He attended the Bergen County Police Academy, the Passaic County Police Academy and the State Police Sea Girt firearms training academy.
